Recovery after abuse
Warmest Welcome! I am Dawn Boiani-Sandberg. My mission is to support, advocate and hold a safe healing space for victims of narcissistic and other types of abuse. I offer peer coaching and healing support from all forms of overt and covert domestic and relational violence. We can learn, heal and evolve out of unhealthy personal relationships, as well as families and communities.
I am dedicated to supporting survivors and helping raise their voices and facilitating profound healing and peace. I also offer coaching and education for women that suffer from having been deeply hurt or confused by someone that they consider a “twin flame.” I am a survivor of many years of narcissistic abuse, turned to thriver. Furthermore, I also have experience recovering from narcissistic family systems, structurally violent cults and harmful high-demand groups.
It’s all about education, breaking powerful trauma bonds and supporting our mind and body. We can discover where we hold these roots of trauma and help our system to naturally heal them to create an even more fulfilling and happier life. We can learn to listen to what our body needs, somatically to overcome deep relational obstacles to, eventually, really heal and flourish.
What are Buddhist Somatics?
Buddhist somatics are somatic meditations and holistic approaches to healing and spiritual progress that focus on the relationship between the body and the mind. Our trauma is stored in the body and impacts our emotional and spiritual well-being. Mindfulness, breath and gentle movement practices can activate our parasympathetic nervous system, to regain a sense of inner strength, relaxation, and a sense of safety.
Somatic meditation, rooted in Buddhist traditions, encourages us to cultivate a deep connection with our body through breathwork, mindful movement, and body scans. This powerful process involves becoming attuned to physical sensations, tensions, and discomfort, which can reveal unresolved trauma. By bringing conscious awareness to our bodily experiences, we can gradually release this stored trauma and indeed, heal.
I would love to share some of these most powerful, helpful healing tools and modalities to help your process that worked for me, combining both eastern and western techniques. Welcome and please Book a Session Today!
